Anita started riding at the age of 12, inspired by her father’s stories of his time in the Canadian Cavalry in the 1930’s.  Throughout her 50 + years of riding, she developed a passion for eventing and dressage.

Anita currently holds a Registered Competition Coaching Certificate with Equestrian Canada and is certified with the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program). Now retired from work as an aquatic ecologist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, she coaches riders and works with horses in Alberta and Nova Scotia.

Anita enjoys helping parents interpret the complexities of the sport, and sharing the life-long value of working with horses.

Her training approach focuses on developing the partnership between horse and rider.
